Bike riding is my new thing. I like riding my bike at the park with my brother Jackson - so much fun! I can't quite reach the pedals yet, but that's OK cos Mummy or Daddy can push me along. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Benny came to visit

We had a visit from teddy Benny over the past week. He is a friend of my daycare's - he's an ambulance bear. We had so much for together. He even came to a birthday party with me in Sydney, ate cake and jumped on a jumping castle with me. So much fun!

He read lots of bedtime stories with us and played with my brother Jackson as well.

He has gone back to daycare now - I miss him so much! Bye Benny!

Daycare here I come!

I started at daycare two weeks ago and I love it! I go on Wednesday and Thursdays.

I have so much fun with my teacher Pravin and my new friend Emma (her middle name is Madeline!). There are only a few of us in our nursery room and we all play together.

Pravin is very cuddly - she is really, really nice. I like to follow her wherever she goes!

Yes that's right - I celebrated my very first birthday yesterday .......... it was so much fun!

When I first woke up, I opened presents with my Daddy, my Mummy and my Jackson (after having my milk first of course!). Such a lucky girl am I!

Izzie and Pa then came around and I opened even more presents. But the bit I loved best was my first bunch of flowers .. freshly picked from Izzie and Pa's garden. That is me holding my flowers in the photo. They are so pretty.

We all then went to this place Daddy and Mummy called a country pub. I don't know what a pub is but there was really, really good grass there for me to crawl in. We had so much fun.

I had so many cuddles all day. I loved sharing my new toys with my Jackson.

Time to stop cleaning the floors

After three months of cleaning the floors, I thought it was time to give mummy a break from soaking all of my clothes and start crawling on all fours. Following in my brother's footsteps I have been a commando crawler since I was eight months old, but I have discovered I can see more and get around faster if I crawl on my hands and knees. Look out!

This video shows my first attempt so please don't judge my technique - degree of difficulty - 10.5.



I've also figured out that pulling myself up onto anything I can is the best - it is amazing how much more you can see from up here!!

Sleeping beauty

Mummy and Daddy are so happy with me. I started sleeping through the night about two weeks ago. I like it too - I get so much more sleep! Yippee!

Bathtime fun!

Life and times of Madeline - 10 months .... almost

So it's been a while since I last updated my blog, but so many things have been happening - hey I'm almost 10 months .......... life can't get much busier.

So here's an update: I started crawling at the end of November .......... I like commando style as it helps mummy clean the floors. I'm such a helpful little gal! However, I realised there is no future in it (no money) so I am thinking about progressing to full blown crawling, but am still teetering on the edges while I make my mind up.

So I passed my first Christmas with flying colours as a Christmas fairy. Mummy and Daddy thought it would be really funny to dress Jackson and I up - I am sure we will hate them for it in years to come, but everyone thought I looked cute so that is all that is important.

I got lots of presents, but between you and me, eating the wrapping paper was the most fun!

I now have six chomping teeth to chew on everything with - Mummy's arm is especially yummy. I have other teeth that have been teasing me and hurting lots, but they still haven't come through yet.

I have been playing lots with my boyfriend Toby - he is 3 weeks older than me and we hold hands.

In November I went to my first concert ever - B52s, The Proclaimers and Mental As Anything. I have no idea who any of these bands are but it was really fun and really really loud.

Summer has been fun. I really like the beach and eating sand is great!
